International bathroom exhibition in Milan

At the same time of the important yearly design exhibition (Salone del Mobile) in Milan, the International Bathroom Exhibition (Salone internazionale del bagno) is organised. The expositor area is the one in Rho Fiera Milano, and usually the show is held in spring, generally in April. The exhibition was launched in 2003, and from 2006 it’s become an independent show. It’s a wide exposition that includes furniture, accessories, shower stalls, bathroom fixture, cladding, taps, sauna systems, flooring, jacuzzi, and much more. The exhibition’s mark is definitely modern and it supports the new popular trends in bathroom design, with the aim of promoting the bond between wellness and cosmetology. The exposition area includes 19.000 square meters and 200 stands. In addition to Italian manufacturers, Chinese, Middle Eastern, American, and English producers are participating.

The event is intended for the branch operators in particular. However, those who are interested can benefit from the open days intended for them, pointed out on the event’s annual program.

Cersaie: International Ceramic for Architecture and Bathroom Design Exhibition

Cersaie exhibition is the event par excellence dedicated to the bathroom, in particular to ceramic flooring and cladding. The show is held yearly in Bologna exhibition centre, usually in September. The exposition area has an extent of 156.000 square meters, where every year 872 exhibitors show up, representing many nations besides Italy. The exhibitors offer bathroom furniture, mirrors, wall mirrors, shower curtains with matching carpets, sinks, bathroom furniture for disabled, design radiators, tubs and fittings, bathroom fixture, sanitary systems, shower stalls, saunas, tiles, materials for flooring and cladding laying, and much more.

It’s an event not to be missed for branch operators, for companies, for building enterprises and others.

European events dedicated to bathroom design

One of the European events not to be missed is Frankfurt ISH. To realise the importance of this exhibition, it’s enough to pay attention to the size of the exposition area. The extent of the show is 260.000 square meters, and every year it hosts an impressive number of manufacturers: 2.400 from all over the world. The branches represented aren’t limited to bathrooms, but they also concern sustainable energy, air-conditioning, and building techniques. Usually the event is held in March, and it’s possible to plan in advance the participation as visitors. The tickets are sold three months before the programmed date of the event.

Some other interesting events are: IdéoBain, hosted every two years in the Paris showground, and Cevisama, in Valencia, a sort of Spanish edition of the bolognese Cersaie. Cevisama is a biennial fair, which has exponentially grown in time, and occurs at the same time as the Fair Habitat Valencia, dedicated to furniture and lighting, and Fimma-Maderalia, based on furniture and carpentry. This means it’s possible to have a complete idea about international innovations in the branch of bathroom design. 145 exhibitor Countries, for a total of 700 companies, participate to Cevisama. It’s one of the greatest European exhibitions, and it’s been an important yearly appointment for 30 years.

World events dedicated to bathroom design

When it’s possible to plan a trip around the world, a lot of important exhibitions of bathroom design are held. For example, in Las Vegas in February the KBIS Kitchen&Bath Industry Show is held. It’s surely the biggest event in the United States, and it has a long proud tradition. It’s been held for more than 50 years, hosting more or less 500/600 expositors. In Shanghai is held the well-known Kitchen&Bath. The Chinese exhibition is held in May, and it’s the most important appointment for the branch in the East. Many wings are dedicated to bathrooms: 9 for fixture and furniture, 5 for the last news in the industry, and 3 for the kitchen.

Kitchen & Bath is held at New International Expo Centre of Shanghai, and it can give many surprises to Italian and European visitors, from the technological point of view to the aesthetic one. In Dubai, in May, the exhibition Kitchen&Bath is held. It’s an international show, which is particularly focused on interior design. Many Italian producers participate, and made in Italy products are particularly appreciated.
